The sale of burial rights is on a first-come, first-served basis. A Right of Interment Certificate shall be presented to the purchaser by the City of Lenexa.
The City reserves the right to limit sales and makes no guarantee to sell any remaining plots which are not owned and are unoccupied.

Interment
Please call a licensed funeral home to begin making funeral arrangements. Cemetery staff will work with the funeral home to confirm the details of the services and other necessary information.The City of Lenexa does not provide tents, chairs, matting, lowering devices or other items for graveside services.
No interment of any person, other than an immediate relative or heir of any plot owner, shall be made on any plot without the written permission of such plot owner being filed with the Cemetery, and no lot owners shall allow interments to be made in their plots of remuneration. There is a fee for transferring burial rights.
Hours of Interment
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon
Interments shall not be made on Sundays or any City-recognized holiday.
Interment Requirements
Notice must be given at least 48 hours prior to interment.
Next of kin shall use licensed funeral directors for planning.
Concrete boxes or vaults are required.
Fees must be paid prior to opening of the plot.
Permitted
- Human remains only
- One casket burial and one cremation in one plot, with full casket on bottom
- Two infants in same plot
- Two cremations per plot
